I know that many people value time. And time should be valued because it is our most valuable asset. I have recently been thinking about a phrase that we use often “Wasted Time”. We all have a general idea of what wasted time is, but I am not sure we know what it means. We have 24 hours in everyday and if we are blessed we have things to accomplish in that 24 hours. Most of us and this number is dwindling everyday are employed meaning we are paid for our time ( I am exempt at the time of this writing from this category) a better way of saying it is(self employed) others pay me for my time or services or products I provide. Since time is invaluable meaning you can’t place a price on it wasting it is as close to a sin as we can get knowing it’s value. So really what is wasting time. Some would say it’s a waste of time if what we are doing doesn’t make any money. Money is usually given the most value after time even though are other thing far more valuable like family, friends and good health. Others would say we are wasting time when we are inactive especially in this time of the super fit and the fitness craze. When we worked soil we didn’t have that problem. LOL ( some would call this resting) LOL. The truth is the way we spend our time is all a matter of personal choice. This can be tricky because we actually can waste time without knowing it. I have heard people say after being released from there job it was a waste of my time. Even when they were paid for every hour they were on the job. So why do they feel it was a waste of time? Because the employer promised them something in exchange for there time and labor they did not receive ( this tactic of getting more out of people than you give back has been used over and over by employers successfully for decades. Few if any get the gold ring. The truth is every job and any job can only help you make a living and not a life. What do we want in exchange for our time? A life, we simply want to do with our time what we want to do at least some of the time. We want to spend time with family and friends. We want to help others create. We want to see the world. We want to enjoy life. Not all the time but just some of the time. You have the power to create your own lifestyle. It begins with taking control of your day and planning your future. Stop wasting time and live today and plan for a better tomorrow. Work hard for the life you want to live and don’t waste your time.
